スタイリッシュな根来の折敷のフォルムを思い浮かべる、
口縁の立ち上がりが低くエッジの効いた造形です。
実は江戸時代後期に瀬戸で焼かれた織部の蓋物の蓋で、鉄絵の文様がある面が本来上面だったものです。つまみの部分をうまく落として小皿として活かしています。
5枚で入手した中の一枚です。
5枚中もっとも肉厚で、表面の一部が赤く発色しているのは焼成時のものです。
状態：窯の中で生じた釉切れ。焼成時に表面の一部が赤く発色。

A stylish small dish with cut off corners. The design and color are very much influenced by Oribe pottery in Momoyama to early Edo, 16th-17th century. It was originally a cover of a covered bowl produced in Seto. The knobs were taken off and later came to be used as a small dish.
